How/where do you apply?
For SLHS: The San Leandro Scholarship Foundation application becomes available in January in the SLHS Counseling Office and is open to SLHS seniors.
The form must be filled in by hand and handed in to Ms. Olson in the Counseling Office. If you have any questions, ask Ms. Olson. The deadline for scholarship applications is March 31st. Any application received after March 31st will not be considered. All awards are announced at the Senior Recognition Night, which is held the last week of May or the first week of June.
For Arroyo and Lincoln High Schools: Ask at the Counseling Office.
What are the criteria for the Scholarships?
Scholarships are based on a number of criteria including GPA, need, interest in specific careers, the institution that you plan to attend, ethnic background, home-owner association where you live to name a few. It is important to completely fill out the application. Otherwise, you may be overlooked for a scholarship for which you are qualified.
Where do I get notified if I receive a scholarship?
All awards are announced at the Senior Recognition Night, which will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022. Many parents and community members attend this very happy event where the scholarships earned by graduating seniors are recognized. At this event, there are not only SLSF scholarships, but also many direct scholarships from a wide variety of educational institutions.
